In the last one week I had more than three parents checking with me about the experiences of sending the child to the day care and the good day care around the area where I live…
All of them who spoke to me were lucky enough to have their parents or in-laws -- taking care of the baby for almost a year…
Now it’s hard for them to leave the baby in the day care and come to work…
Truthfully sending my son to a daycare, we had fun, we are still having fun… in spite of all the tough times we had, there is nothing we could complain about…
So to all Moms who are now in a position to make decisions… Just make sure you find a good school/day care…
Go visit the facility… Talk to parents who already do this… you will get an idea of what to expect and what not to…
Check how the teachers are… the teachers are more important because they are the one, your child is going to be all day… do a good research…
Visit the facility in the evening… the time when most parents will be picking up their kids… Talk to couple them… they will be more than willing to tell a honest opinion about how they feel… That will really help…
Here is the listing of few schools around this area – area around Schaumburg, IL...
I have heard good things about all the schools below… I am not giving you a guarantee about any school… I am just saying that I have not heard anything really bad about any of them…
Do your own research. It’s your child and you know what’s best for him/her.

After you choose a day care…
§ Get in touch with parents whose kids are in the same class as your child is in.
§ No one drops/picks at the same time everyday. So when you drop/pick up your kid, look around and see what other kids are doing… If you have any concerns tell the parent…
§ Request the parents of other kids to check your child when they drop/pick up…
§ Have a play date with the day care kids… This will help you to keep in touch with the parents…
§ Maintain a good relationship with the teachers in the class… Teachers are so important… Because they are the one who is going to be with the child all day…
§ Teachers are humans too… Treat them with respect…
§ If you feel happy about the teacher, tell them right away… a heart-felt appreciation will go a long way…
§ If you need someone to baby-sit your child for few hours during weekends – check with your day care teacher if she could come over... This will help too…
§ If you are having a Birthday party and inviting all the kids in the day care… don’t forget to invite the teacher… Even if they don’t attend, they will feel happy that you invited them…
§ Keep checking with the teacher how your child does in school…
Those are few things which really helped me… You are most welcome to put in your comments…
Thank You… & Happy Parenting…
